The passionate love for good, healthy food goes right back to Brahmins Group’s earliest days in the beautiful land of Thodupuzha, Kerala, where the family-owned business was formed in 1987. Experimenting with exotic Indian spices used in traditional curry powders, Brahmins pioneered the art of preserving flavour while retaining nutritional value. Since then, Brahmins has become a truly global brand offering a rich platter of over 100 food products ranging from breakfast cereals and whole-grain flours to pickles, desserts and specialty foods.

Today, Brahmins products are a staple diet in every Indian home around the world. Lovers of good food and connoisseurs of Kerala’s traditional cuisine have embraced Brahmins, making room for the brand in their homes and hearts as well. With more and more home-made spice/pickle/flour blends being replaced with Brahmins’ range of food products, several million households across the world solely rely on the Vegetarian Promise the brand still adheres to. Close to 30 years ago, the brand ‘Brahmins’ made a name for itself in Kerala by setting up the first production unit in Thodupuzha for processing pickles and whole-grain flour.Envisioning ambitious steps towards consistent growth, Brahmins launched the second production unit at Kinfra Park in Nellad, Ernakulam district for processing wheat and spices.Never stopping to bring in innovation at every step possible, Brahmins Foods India (P) Ltd became a registered undertaking on February 24, 2010.Expanded the capacity of our Nellad Unit by restructuring the plant for processing Wheat Flour, rice flour-based products - Puttu Podi, Idiappam Podi, Appam Podi - as well as a variety of spices. With a production capacity of 25 tonne per day full-fledged unit is a powerhouse. With exports to the Middle East recording a remarkable 30% escalation in total revenue, Brahmins Group turned focus on developing unit at Thodupuzha for pickles, spices and rice-based products. A pickle production unit at Amanakara in Kottayam district was also materialized, tallying Brahmins’ total budget for strengthening infrastructure. Coming up with modern twists to traditional ideas, Brahmins Multi-Grain Puttu Podi that was launched on December 09, 2013 gained a wide audience among the health-conscious, fitness-savvy lot across Kerala and the Middle East.
